# Autofill API now gated to Enterprise with a limited trial for integrations under development

We’ve fixed a bug where the Autofill API was not enforcing its Enterprise-only requirement. Going forward, only Enterprise users have full access.

To support integrations under development, non-Enterprise users now receive a limited free trial. Once the trial is exhausted, they’ll need to upgrade to Canva Enterprise to continue.

To support this, successful autofill job responses now include a trial\_information object:

    "uses_remaining": 2,
    "upgrade_url": "https://www.canva.com/..."
  }

```

When uses\_remaining reaches 0, requests will return a trial\_quota\_exceeded error.  
We recommend surfacing the upgrade\_url to the user at that point.

Enterprise users are unaffected — trial\_information will not appear in their responses.

**Update on this one:** as of 23 September, Autofill is no longer limited to Enterprise. The Autofill APIs and the `autofill-design` MCP tool are now available to users on Canva Pro (including Canva Education), Canva Business, and Canva Enterprise, and the development trial quotas described above no longer apply.
