A common feature request from developers has been to allow access to Brand Kit and Document Colors, so that apps can create assets that match existing colors in the design.

We’re excited to announce a new color selector which will allow users to choose from their Brand Kit and Document Colors alongside a selection of default colors. This is currently in Beta, so if you’ve been asking for Brand or Document Colors, please take the time to try it out and provide feedback!

We expect that many existing apps will benefit from this API. If your app already lets users select colors, consider updating your app to use the new color selector to make it more useful for users who use Brand Kit.

A reminder that while this API is in Beta, apps that use it can’t yet be released, but you can get started trying out the new API in preparation for it launching to GA in the near future. We look forward to hearing your feedback about this new API and seeing what you build with it!

@quill @Tom we’re looking to get some final feedback from developers who’ve tried out the API before we release to GA. If you’ve taken the time to try it out, would you be ok with doing an interview with our team about your experience?
