The Monthly active users number seems quite high. Can you share some numbers on the active users for the topmost performing apps currently? That can give some perspective.
Hey @coral ! We have 150M monthly users on Canva right now, so to hit the top tier usage award (1M) your app needs to be used by <1% of those users. Over one third of our apps have hit a milestone for the App Adoption awards. A good number of these apps were released in the last month and have already hit a milestone.
There is definitely more we can do to help those 150M users find apps in the first place though, and we are investing in a bunch of ways to make apps more discoverable. We can also chat about how to market your apps as well when the time comes - there a lots of options to get your app out there so more users discover it!

Hi @Torey , we have submitted our application for the Innovation Fund and have a completely free app. When we first created the app on Canva, we selected “Freemium” as the option because we intended to build paid features, however those have not launched yet and we would consider leaving our Canva app entirely free given the incentives the Innovation Fund details mention.
My question is, do the application reviewers use the option we selected when we first created the app to assess whether it is “fully free”? If so, we would want to change this setting in our app so our Innovation Fund application could be reassessed, but I don’t believe there’s a way to do this via the app developer dashboard.
Also, is there any way to see how close our app is to the App Adoption awards?

Hey @Paul_A! If you are looking to update your app to Free in the marketplace, just submit a ticket and our team can help you update that.
As for your application for the Developer grant, feel free to resubmit your application and mention that you’re updating your app from Freemium to Free.

More than one app can be submitted by a developer for the Innovation Fund.
I applied for Innovation Fund Grant few weeks ago but under the “Your app idea”, i entered an app that I already finished and submitted for review. So far, I have submitted two Canva apps under review. How do I change my “app idea” that I havent work on yet so I can get proper funding.
Hi @Reginald_Tan. Feel free to resubmit your application for the Innovation Fund if you would like to change anything and add a note that you previously submitted and are submitting a new idea. Our team will review all new submissions.

Today I received a very detailed report about the number of users for my application. I am very worried because my product seems unable to reach the next milestones. If we only consider the number of App Clicks, it is not enough to surpass the upcoming milestones. Please note that my current product does not have any fees or login walls. I really do not want to integrate payments because my next ideas are very simple, and users will find it difficult to pay. I hope Canva can reconsider these milestone rewards.

You’ve said above that one could resubmit the form application to access the Innovation Fund. But I’ve clicked again on the form link and it says that I’ve alread filled the form. I wanted to apply for more than one app. How can I achieve that?
