Signature Verification support for the Canva Apps SDK will be removed on May 12th, 2024.If your app does not use Signature Verification then no further action is required.

  • If your app is still using the legacy Signature Verification then you will need to remove this from your app’s backend before May 12th to avoid disruption to your users.
  • The change should not require a new app submission.
  • We will run two “brownout” periods where you can verify the change. We will temporarily turn off Signature Verification support from April 29th - 30th and then again from May 6th-8th. Both periods will start and finish and 10am AEST

Hi @Torey

What is this getting replaced with? For Canva Extensions, this is the only way we validate the requests. Is there any new way to validate the requests?

For Canva Extensions this is not being deprecated. This is only being deprecated for Canva SDK apps, which use JWTs instead, you can read more about verifying JWTs in the developer documentation
