As part of our Solstice of Surprises launches, we’re excited to launch the Apps SDK type viewer — now live for all developers building with the Canva Developers Platform!
What it does:
This new tool makes it easy to read, search, and explore the Apps SDK API in an IDE-like experience — right from your browser. Instantly look up function inputs, return values, and supported objects without needing to open an IDE or clone a repo
Why it matters:
This unlocks faster understanding of what data is expected and returned across the SDK —making it easier to plan ahead, reduce trial and error, and get things working with confidence. We hope it’ll make developing apps a whole lot smoother for you.
You can open the type viewer by pressing the “View type definition” button next to any property, clicking the button in the bottom-right corner of the screen, or toggling it using the V shortcut key.
